What is the Axmen?
The Axmen is the ultimate everything store. From home heating and spas to alternative energy to farm and ranch and firefighting we are sure you will find what you need here.
The Axmen caters to all Montanans and we are proud to have been locally owned for over 39 years. We have a deep respect for the roots of our business and those roots are the people of Montana. In 2007 we decided to illustrate that respect on the walls of our store and opened the Montana Museum of Work History. The Museum contains the stories of not the infamous, not the famous but the hardworking people that have made up the history of Montana.
The coffee is always on, and the stories readily shared, so stop by any time.

Blaze King

I wanted to follow up with a five star rating on the Blaze King \"King Model\". With all stoves as i read the reviews i was less than happy. But i would say most negative reviews have to be coming from non experienced wood burners. For about two months this stove has been running right to factory specs. It has only been shut down once, about a month back, and everything looked good upon inspection. We only fill the fire box about half full of round lodge pole about 10PM, and find a nice bed of coals at 7 AM. Our home a 35 year old 3 story barn house is about 72 when we awake. While outside tempts at 7AM are below or at freezing most mornings in late November. You do the math, we call it GOOD!
Thanks to Axmen for great service and products. I\'ll try to check back in a year to give a full report, so far wood usage is down by about 40% over our 30 year old Russo wood stove of the same size.
