Gracing the walls of the Axmen retail store are decades of stories, years of hard work and endless memories.  The Montana Museum of Work History is a celebration of the innovation and work ethic that allowed people to survive and prosper in Montana.

The displays include antique firearms, steam and gas engines, automobiles, tools of all descriptions, logging and mining equipment and much more. Tours are available anytime. What better place to enjoy this history than inside our real working establishment!
At the Museum of Work History it’s not about the stuff, it’s about the story.  Visitors will be given the opportunity to hear these stories and see the tools and technologies that were a part of the workers daily lives.    The everyday people of Montana had extraordinary tenacity and courage. We are here to celebrate and remember not the famous, not the infamous, but the ordinary Montanan who did extraordinary things.
